WG 4.22 IT/OT Convergence

Focus

The "IT/OT Convergence" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:

  • Capturing of the drivers and potentials of IT/OT convergence
  • Definition of requirements for the use of IT technology and IT services in OT
  • Current status of IT/OT structures and future changes in, and optimisation of, the cooperation between IT and OT
  • Concepts and technologies for technical IT/OT convergence
  • Market and trend analyses for future technological and organisational developments

Advantages

  • Build up assessment competence , experience exchange and knowledge transfer regarding new approaches to IT/OT cooperation and interaction
  • Identification of economic potential and implementation of synergies through technical and organisational IT/OT convergence
