WG 3.2 Flow Rate Measurement

Focus

The "Flow Rate Measurement" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:

  • Application areas of flow measuring instruments in the production and engineering environment
  • Requirements and technical concepts
  • Selection of measurement procedures for different application areas in the process industry
  • Radar function for current market and technology developments

Advantages

  • Gathering of worldwide experience on measuring instruments and measurement procedures in industrial use to facilitate decision-making
  • Definition of operator requirements for improvement and development to avoid errors
  • Easier communication by documenting of requirements relating to devices, of inspection procedures and equipment in NAMUR Recommendations and Worksheets
  • Improvement of efficiency and reliability by representation of operator interests in relations with manufacturers, inspection organisations, associations and the authorities
  • Observation, interpretation, initiation and contributing to national and international standardisation and legislation
