The "Level Measurement Technology" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:

• Formulation of requirements for level measurement equipment
• Areas of application for level measurement equipment and overfilling protection in automation engineering in the production and engineering environment
• Involvement in the updating of relevant regulations, inclusion of user interests
• Monitoring and influencing of current technology development
