The "Functional Safety" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:

  • Sharing SIS devices for operational use
  • Useful lifetime of SIS devices
  • Explosion protection and functional safety
  • Machine safety and functional safety
  • IT security and functional safety
  • Human factors and functional safety
  • Review IEC 61511
  • Review VDI/VDE 2180
