WG-POSTION 4.19 „Concepts for the Integration and Operation of Modular Production-Related Logistics Systems” was published

This position paper describes the objectives and the current status of work on the automation of modular production-related logistics systems and their implementation based on the Module Type Package concept. Possible applications and advantages of the presented solutions are shown on the basis of three selected application examples. Furthermore, a possible application of the Asset Administration Shell concept is outlined. Open research and standardization needs are identified.

In this way, the position paper is intended to serve as a basis for discussion in the dialogue with manufacturers.
