Abstract to NE 14 "Attachment of Pneumatic Part-Turn Actuators to Valves"

This recommendation describes the mounting of pneumatic part-turn actuators on ball-, plug- and butterfly valves using a bracket.

A bracket enables easier visual identification of leaks and prevents product from penetrating the actuator.

Standards taken into consideration are ISO 5211 (industrial valves – part-turn actuator attachment), which describes the interface directly on the actuator and valve, and CEN EN 15081 (industrial valves – mounting kits for part-turn valve actuator attachment), which stipulates the requirements for mounting kits and encompasses all components between the part-turn actuator and valve.
