NAMUR to welcome new member of the Management Board

At its meeting in Leverkusen on 19 September 2017 the NAMUR Board of Management elected a new member.

As Dr. Thomas Steckenreiter had resigned from the NAMUR Board of Management on 01 March 2017, the Board, pursuant to the NAMUR Articles, could elect a successor until the end of the current term (Members’ Meeting 2018).

The Board elected Rainer Oehlert, graduate engineer. Mr. Oehlert is currently holding the position of Global Director, Core Engineering Technology, at DOW Chemical Company.

After graduating in chemical engineering from Dortmund Technical University, Mr. Oehlert worked for EISENMANN Umwelttechnik GmbH. He then joined DOW Chemical Company and worked as Senior Process Control Engineer in Stade, Germany, Freeport, USA, and Yeosu, Korea and managed DCS migrations as well as brownfield and greenfield projects. He was then appointed Director Europe, Process Automation and Process Engineering, in Tarragona, Spain, and later worked in the positions of Global Business Engineering Leader and Director Europe, Engineering. In 2014, he was appointed Global Director, Core Engineering Technology.
