WG 4.17 Energy Efficiency

Focus

The "Energy Efficiency" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:

  • Development of worksheets, recommendations and communication concepts of process automation services
  • Monitoring of current trends, literature and publications
  • Elaboration of recommendations for a comprehensive implementation of technologies and, where possible, quantifying the energy saving potentials
  • Cooperation with other committees (e.g. ZVEI)

Advantages

  • Depiction of the process management and automation engineering contribution on energy efficiency
  • Identification of potentials in the use of process automation in the context of ISO 50001
  • Communication of process industry requirements with regard to technology manufacturers
