WG 2.11 Industrial IT/Process Control Technology
Focus
The "Industrial IT/Process Control Technology" working group addresses issues including the following topics in the context of its experience exchange, its concept developments, formulation of requirements to be met by automation solutions and its involvement in national and international standardisation:
- Interaction of information technology and process control technology, especially quality and obsolescence issues
- Life cycle concepts for systems of automation technology and industrial IT
- Cost security and investment protection
- Availability and reliability, definition and tracking of quality performance indicators
- Handling of updates, upgrades and end-of-life announcements
