The working group "Process Automation Systems" focusses on experience exchange, concepts development, formulation of requirements for automation solutions and national and international standardization in the following topics:

  • Technology push and market pull: Holistic evaluation of the benefits achievable with new technologies, products and services
  • Sustainable life cycle concepts for control systems under consideration of availability, reliability and obsolescence aspects
  • Best Practices for the available, efficient and economically viable use of process control systems in different environments
  • Potential of solutions to enhance the operational excellence in plants
