At Hannover Messe the newly created lead fair IAMD – Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives in Halls 8, 9 and 11 will focus on current trends and developments in process automation. NAMUR will again support a number of events. Representatives of NAMUR member companies will be involved in the MES Conference, the Industrial Automation Forum and the Special Modular Production Show.

Below you will find a number of events we recommend in particular.

Special Modular Production Show in Hall 11, Stand D 44

For the second time after its premiere in 2017: the Special Modular Production Show in Hall 11, Stand D44. Digitisation is paving the way for higher competitiveness in the process industry. At the special show Process INDUSTRY 4.0: The Age of Modular Production in Hall 11 of the Hannover Messe, visitors will learn how they can optimise flexibility, efficiency and time-to-market by making increased use of intelligent automation and measuring systems as well as modularisation. Partners of this special show are ZVEI, NAMUR and ProcessNet, an initiative by Dechema and VDI. Companies such as ABB, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, Festo, HIMA, Phoenix Contact, Samson, Siemens, Wago and Yokogawa will support this special show. TU Dresden and Helmut-Schmidt-Universität in Hamburg as well as a host of users in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries such as BASF, Bayer, Clariant, Covestro, Evonik, Invite, Lanxess and Merck will contribute to the special show in cooperation with module suppliers.

MES Conference at the Convention Centre (CC), Room 3

The 10th MES Conference will take place at the Fair Ground Convention Centre (CC) on Thursday, 26 April 2018, 10.30 to 15.30 hrs.. Presentations on current MES topics in the process industry will be given in the morning, while MES in discrete production will be discussed after lunch.
A representative of a NAMUR member company will participate in the panel discussion at 12.45 hrs. on MES in the Platform as a Catalyst for Implementing Industry 4.0.

Forum Automation in Hall 14, Stand L 17

During the entire Fair the Automation Forum will offer interesting presentations and panel discussions, such as a panel discussion on Wednesday on the question ‘Modular Production – What will change in the production world?’

A host of information on pumps can be gathered at this stand, shared by 16 international manufacturers of pumps, pump systems and components – international pump party on Wednesday, 17.30 hrs..

Guided Tour Process Automation

If you would like to be led around the fair grounds to get an overview you may wish to take advantage of the guided tours. For a fee, guides will lead you to stands that have been especially selected for automation engineers in the process industry. Advance registration is required.

Young Engineers Day in Hall 2, Stand C 40

Young Engineers Day followed by a student party will take place in Hall 18. Organised by Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e.V. (VDI) and Deutsche Messe AG, the Young Engineers Day will offer an attractive technical programme with guided theme tours and information specifically targeted at technical science students. This format allows students to make direct contact with exhibitors in the areas of robotics, Industry 4.0, lightweight design, energy and drive systems and to engage in a personal exchange of experience with students and young engineers involved in the VDI network. Registration is required. A small fee will have to be paid for the subsequent evening event.
