Selected topics for Hannover Messe Industrial Automation from 24 to 28 April 2017

At this year’s Hannover Messe held from 24 to 28 April 2017, NAMUR will again support a number of events. Representatives of NAMUR member companies will be involved in the MES Conference, the Industrial Automation Forum and the Special Modular Production Show.

Below you will find a number of events that we recommend in particular.


MES Conference at the Convention Center (CC) Room 3

The 9th MES Conference will take place at the Fair Ground Convention Center (CC) on Thursday, 27 April 2017, 11.00 to ca. 16.00 hrs.. Presentations on current MES topics in the process industry will be given in the morning, while MES in discrete manufacturing will be discussed after lunch.

New in 2017: Special Modular Production Show in Hall 11, Stand D 44

Modular production in the process industry permits faster and more flexible and cost effective plants in areas where requirements change quickly. This also entails changes in automation, sensor and actuator systems and plant design. During the entire week, the Special Modular Production Show supported by NAMUR, Dechema/ProcessNet and ZVEI, will show motivation, technical ideas for implementations and first demonstrators regarding modular automation, and venture a look into the future.

Industrial Automation Forum in Hall 14, Stand L 17

During the entire Fair the Industrial Automation Forum will offer interesting presentations and panel discussion, such as a panel discussion on the question ‘What benefits do modularisation concepts offer for the process industry?’ on Wednesday.

Industry 4.0 Forum in Hall 8, Stand D 19

Every day of the Fair interesting presentations will be given on Industry 4.0 and current trends at the Industry 4.0 Meets the Industrial Internet Forum.

Guided Tour Process Automation

If you would like to be led across the fair grounds to get an overview you may wish to take advantage of the guided tours. For a fee guides will lead you to stands that have been especially selected for automation engineers in the process industry. Advance registration is required.

New in 2017: Young Engineers Day in Hall 2, Stand C40

Young Engineers Day followed by Young Engineers Party: Deutsche Messe and VDI will jointly organise an undergraduate day on Thursday. Theme tours (first come, first serve) will start on 27 April 2017 at 10.00 and 14.00 hrs.. In the evening a student party will take place in Hall 18.
