Nils Weber appointed NAMUR General Manager as of April 01st, 2020

The NAMUR Board of Management has appointed Mr. Nils Weber to NAMUR General Manager as of April 01st, 2020. He will succeed Heinrich Engelhard who will retire on the same date.

Nils Weber first trained as chemical production technician and then studied chemical engineering (instrumental analytics) at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Science.

In 2010 he joined Bayer Technology Services as application engineer for process analytical technology (PAT). Shortly thereafter, he transferred to Bayer Business and Technology Services USA in Baytown, TX) where he worked for a year as project lead in PAT. After his return to Germany, he started to work as a PAT expert with INVITE GmbH. In 2015 he rejoined Bayer AG where he worked in PAT, assuming more and more responsibility, finally as Principal Expert.

Since 2019 Nils Weber has been an active member of NAMUR WG 3.6.1 Functional Safety and was also involved in NOA PAT (NAMUR/ZVEI).
