NE196 Information technology standardisation of TBE assets in the field process-related building automation was published
from 2025-02-20The NAMUR recommendation NE196 from WG 1.7 Production-related Building Automation has been newly published and can now be obtained from the office.
Abstract to NE 196 "Information technology standardisation of TBE assets in the field of process-related building automation"
This NE describes the information technology standardisation (semantic and functional characteristics) of technical building equipment (TBE) assets in the process-related building automation (BA) environment as digital twins.
This NE196 lays the foundations for reducing engineering effort through cross-lifecycle information modelling in the use cases of process control, quality assurance and plant asset management. Based on the information model of the Industry 4.0 Asset Administration Shell, features and their attributes are semantically characterised.
A large number of process-related BA and TBE components are available through distinctive TBE device profiles. Individual sensors and actuators are available for instantiation as asset types thanks to the TBE device profile.
Various individual components are aggregated to form a composite component, which in turn is represented by an independent I4.0 AAS. The standardized composite components (heating circuits, cooling circuits, air handling units) include submodels for MTP and FMU-files as simulation twins.
