Abstract to NA 159 “Standardized NAMUR interface for data exchange between CAE systems for Process Design and CAE systems for PCT Hardware Planning”

The aim of this NAMUR Recommendation is to formulate requirements for a practically feasible, manufacturer-independent, partially automated interface for the bidirectional exchange of data between CAE systems used for process design and those used for PCT hardware planning. For this purpose a data model has been defined in which the data elements of the process design (PD data) of process control engineering tasks (PCE tasks) (IEC 62424: PCERequest) are established with their descriptions and hierarchies. It is addressed principally to developers of CAE systems for the process industry, and serves as an information source for interested users.
