Abstract NE 61 ‘Data sheet for Process Analysers’
(Edition: 2016-08-03)

When using Process Analysers, the technical data have to be considered to ensure that the instrument is suitable for the application.

The NAMUR recommendation NE 61 is intended to specify the technical data of process analysers in the manufacturer's documentation (user manual, data sheet) in a uniform way. This allows PAT engineers to find instruments that technical data fit the requirements of the application.

If the technical data of a process analyser is not available in this form, it can be requested from the manufacturer with the help of the form sheet.

The NAMUR recommendation first explains the terms and definitions such as characteristic curve conformity, hysteresis, repeatability limit, drift and detection limit. Then the terms adjustment and calibration are explained, which are sometimes confused with each other.

The Annex contains the data sheet, in which the technical data should be declared.
