NE 24 has been revised

from 2016-10-07

The NAMUR Recommendation NE 24 has been revised and may now be obtained from the NAMUR Office.

The document differs from NE 24 edition 2006-03-23 beside editiorial adjustments as follows:

  • Title modified
  • General requirements on measuring resistors has been added

Abstract NE 24 ‘Requirements governing measuring inserts for temperature sensors’
(Edition: 2016-10-07)

The NAMUR Recommendation defines the principal requirements for measuring inserts for temperature sensors and differentiates between the two basic technologies. In addition, it explains the measuring differences and the resulting boundary conditions.

Considered will be measuring inserts for single– and double sensors in regard to the required distances to earth, voltage resistance relative to earth, identification and the requirements for usage in intrinsically-safe circuits.
