NE 22 has been revised

The NAMUR Recommendation NE 22 has been revised and may now be obtained from the NAMUR Office.

The document differs from NE 22 edition 2006-05-31 beside editorial adjustments as follows:

• Terminology and functional requirements changed to match current state of technology

Abstract NE 22 ‘Manufacturer Documentation for Process Control Systems’
(Edition: 2017-05-31)

This recommendation contains a breakdown of technical documents that should be provided by DCS manufacturers for the use of their systems. It was compiled by the "Experience with DCS" working group within the framework of the "Digital Control Systems" committee and updated in a subsequent revision by the WG 2.1.

The recommendation is concerned with the structure and important content of engineering, operating and maintenance instructions for process control systems. The suggested breakdown should contribute to facilitating understanding of the DCS manuals supplied by the manufacturer and enable all users to utilize them more effectively.
