from 2013-09-16

The following NAMUR Recommendation has been released and may now be obtained from the NAMUR Office.

NE 151 "Frequency Management" (Version 12.09.2013)

Radio frequencies are a finite resource of growing economic importance. In order to cater for the various areas of application (industrial applications, consumer applications etc.) and permit the simultaneous interference-free operation of several radio applications (coexistence) it is necessary to use this resource in a sensible and efficient manner. Currently, the regulation of frequency utilisation is an important mechanism to ensure a technically and economically balanced use of the radio frequency spectrum.

The focus of the NE 151 is on the systematic registration and management of all radio applications and the definition of roles and responsibilities with the goal to ensure the coexistence of radio applications, i.e. an efficient and interference-free operation, as well as guaranteed planning reliability when industrial radio applications are introduced.
