NAMUR at Industrial Automation 4th to 8th April 2011

from 2011-04-17

The agenda for the HANNOVER MESSE trade show in 2011 included a comprehensive reorganisation of the "Industrial Automation" area. Among other developments, "Process Automation" was no longer staged as a singular event in Hall 7, but rather integrated with other "Industrial Automation" topics in Hall 11. The amalgamation of "Factory Automation" and "Process Automation" in particular was called for by exhibitors, as an increasing number of providers supply products and services to both areas. This restructuring proved to be successful, as the anticipated synergy effects could be exploited and clearly stimulated the individual areas of the trade show. The link to the leading "Energy" trade fair was also deemed to be extremely positive, as the synergy effects achieved between process engineering and energy management continue to intensify.

NAMUR belongs to the "Industrial Automation" support associations, having actively assisted the HANNOVER MESSE trade show in the development and realisation of the new concept. This commitment was visible at the trade show itself in participation in the MES Congress and "Energy Efficiency Arena" and the presence of NAMUR with its own stand in Hall 11, the focal point for the process automation community.

All in all, HANNOVER MESSE 2011 proved to be an extremely successful event, an assessment which is certainly supported by preliminary figures.
