NA186 “Interactions and responsibilities of E&I engineering during the construction and commissioning & start-up phases” is new published
from 2024-08-09The NAMUR Worksheet NA 186 has been released and may now be obtained from the NAMUR Office.
Abstract to NA 186 "Interactions and responsibilities of E&I engineering during the construction and commissioning & start-up phases"
Planning and constructing chemical plants is a complex process involving many individuals, units, and companies. This results in large number of interfaces where responsibility and information need to be transferred. Various NAMUR documents already provide guidance on this topic, such as NA 035 (Engineering and execution of PCT projects in process industry) and NA 117 (PCT installation documents, functional testing and personnel qualifications).
The new NA 186 specifically focuses on the integration of PCT engineering into the construction and commissioning phase. Looking at the project phases of construction, commissioning, and start-up, it presents the roles involved, as well as the documents used and their contents. Furthermore, it provides an overview of the individual activities, with a particular focus on describing the respective typical responsibilities. The NA is rounded off by considering further aspects such as the content of a project execution plan, scheduling, and documentation.
