At Hannover Messe the lead fair IAMD – Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives - in Halls 8, 9 and 11 will focus on discussing and presenting current developments in process automation technology. NAMUR will be involved in the MES Conference, the Automation Forum and the Special Modular Production Show.

Below you will find a number of events that we have selected for you.

Special Modular Production Show in Hall 11, Stand D 44

Modular Production has reached the point of market maturity.

Visitors can get first-hand experience at the Special Show Process INDUSTRY 4.0: The Age of Modular Production in Hall 11 of HANNOVER MESSE 2019.

Exhibits and live demonstrations will show particularly fast and efficient module engineering (production units encapsulated in terms of process engineering and automation technology), based on the MTP concept which describes the various modules in digital terms. The modules can then be flexibly connected via the orchestration system, irrespective of the systems used. ‘In this way process plants can be quickly installed and upgraded’, says Axel Haller (ABB), chairman of the ZVEI Modular Automation Working Group. ‘At the same time, this method enables companies to respond flexibly to new market requirements and substantially reduce the engineering effort.’

This is the third year already that manufacturers, users and module makers have demonstrated at the Special Show how the standardisation of interfaces contributes considerably to improving the flexibility of plants in the process industry. The key elements are consistent modularisation and the increased use of intelligent decentralised automation.

Partners of the Special Show Process INDUSTRY 4.0: The Age of Modular Production are ISPE, NAMUR, ProcessNet – an initiative by Dechema and VDI – , VDMA and ZVEI. Companies such as ABB, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, Festo, HIMA, Pepperl + Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Samson, Siemens, Wago and Yokogawa will support this special show. Also universities – e.g. TU Dresden and Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg – and a host of users in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries such as BASF, Bayer, CHT, Clariant, Covestro, Evonik, INVITE, Lanxess and Merck will contribute to the special show in cooperation with module suppliers. Systems integrators like SpiraTec are also part of the project.
