WG-PRAXIS WG4.5 Contactors as shared components wurde veröffentlicht
The shared use of devices in safety functions and operational functions is a highly debatable topic among experts.
This WG PRAXIS addresses the shared use of contactors in safety functions and in operational functions.
Since shared use is often accepted in redundant systems, this WG PRAXIS focuses on shared use in single-channel structures.
It explains various methods for assessing and minimizing the risks associated with shared use. One example is assessing the shared use risk as part of the HAZOP study. Another approach is conducting a FMEA, from which specific measures can be derived.
The fault analysis is included in the WG PRAXIS and can be specifically adapted to the user’s environment.
This WG PRAXIS was prepared by NAMUR Working Group 4.5 in collaboration with Working Group 3.14.
The complete WG-PRAXIS can be found on the website of the WG 4.5.
