“NAMUR Activities in China: Decentralized Intelligence” – the seventh successful conference in Shanghai

The seventh NAMUR conference in China was held in Shanghai on the 18th and 19th November 2015. Over 160 participants listed in the attendance figures show the continued development of NAMUR in China. In addition to participants from member companies, representatives of the press, standardisation organisations and universities, invited guests from local process industry companies also attended the conference.

During the conference, the working groups presented the results of their work, and the sponsor had the opportunity to demonstrate its competences. “Decentralized Intelligence” was extensively discussed at the conference as one of the hot topics in the conference together with other topics such as NENAs developed by Chinese working groups and expanding NAMUR membership by Chinese companies.

The organisers managed to engage WAGO, which had already sponsored the NAMUR Annual General Meeting in Germany in 2014, as a partner and sponsor of the event. WAGO has its roots in electrical spring-type connector technology and has grown during its 60 year history to become a global leader in this area. WAGO has also been an automation system provider for more than 20 years.

The NAMUR China Conference 2016 will be held on 23rd and 24th November 2016. Krohne will sponsor the conference.
